Donnie Murdo MacLeod comes from Stornoway and is one of the best traditional Gaelic singers of his generation.
He won the Traditional Gold Medal at the 1996 National Mod in Blairgowrie.
This album, named "Gaelic Album of the Year" in 2000 by Scotland on Sunday, is a beautiful, unfussy distillation of his art, with backing and production from Mary Ann Kennedy.
