Angels from the Ashes is clearly a reference to Blair's own misfortunes as well as a composition inspired by the horrific events of 9/11. A fire destroyed Blair's family home in 1997 and he lost all his music and instruments.
The album features a sparkling array of talent which allows Blair to explore his writing in many different avenues. With everything from Highland waltzes to Cajun tunes this is another remarkable piece of work.
